Pass Plus and why you should do it

There are many aspects of driving not covered by the Driving Test and the Pass Plus scheme is designed to further your knowledge and driving skills thus helping you to cope with today's busy roads. The scheme teaches you to deal with situations you may not have encountered during your lessons such as night driving, busy city centres and rural country lanes with a national speed limit. It also includes motorway driving which is not included in the Driving Test.

You can only take the Pass Plus if you have passed your Driving Test and it must be taken with a registered Pass Plus Instructor. The course consists of six modules designed to equip you with the skills and the confidence to face any driving situation. There is no test but you must demonstrate the skills required in all six modules to qualify for the certificate. The course takes a total of 6 hours.

The scheme is held in high regard by the Insurance Industry and many of the leading insurance companies offer a discount to certificate holders. A big asset if you are a young, newly qualified driver looking to insure your first car.
